Journal of Islamic Economic Insights (JIEI) Ethical Publishing Practices
The Journal of Islamic Economic Insights (JIEI) adheres to the highest standards of ethical publishing practices and encourages all potential authors and reviewers to familiarize themselves with the COPE recommendations before submitting or reviewing manuscripts for the journal. To emphasize the ethical commitments essential to our operations, we present a comprehensive set of guidelines that govern the submission, selection, evaluation, feedback, and publication processes at JIEI:
I. Manuscript Ownership and Originality Authors submitting an article to JIEI affirm that they are the sole owners and originators of the work. The submission of previously published content, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited. Incidences of plagiarism, data falsification or fabrication, and/or omission of significant material will lead to manuscript rejection and potential severance of all future relations with the involved author(s). Authors bear full responsibility for the integrity of all statements, citations, and materials in their submissions.
II. Peer Review Process JIEI is committed to a rigorous, objective, and fair peer review process. Reviewers are selected for their expertise and are expected to assess manuscripts objectively, professionally, and without personal bias. Promptness in review and confidentiality of the process are paramount.
III. Editorial Responsibilities The editorial team manages the peer-review and publication processes with confidentiality, professionalism, and impartiality. Editorial decisions are made solely based on the academic merits of submissions. The Editor-in-Chief has the final authority over the editorial content and publication timing.

-
Editors' Duties: Uphold fair play, confidentiality, disclosure, conflicts of interest, and publication decisions based solely on scholarly merit.
-
Reviewers' Duties: Contribute to editorial decisions, maintain confidentiality, acknowledge sources, and disclose conflicts of interest.
-
Authors' Duties: Adhere to reporting standards, ensure originality, avoid multiple submissions, accurately list authorship, disclose conflicts of interest, and acknowledge sources.

-
Addressing Unethical Publishing: In cases of alleged misconduct, the publisher, alongside editors, will take steps to amend the situation, including publication of errata, clarifications, or retractions.
-
