Journal of Maritime Defense Technology
We encourage submissions that address contemporary issues in the field of maritime defense technology, including naval engineering, shipbuilding technology, maritime surveillance, maritime domain awareness, autonomous maritime systems, underwater defense technology, naval combat systems, cybersecurity in maritime defense, coastal defense, port security, maritime logistics, and maritime security strategy. JMDT particularly welcomes studies that explore defense innovation, naval modernization, unmanned maritime systems, maritime intelligence, maritime risk management, critical maritime infrastructure protection, and technology-based solutions for emerging maritime security challenges.
Interdisciplinary research that integrates perspectives from maritime studies, defense technology, engineering, cybersecurity, international relations, geopolitics, public policy, law enforcement, and national security is highly encouraged.
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic integrity, originality, technical relevance, and alignment with the journal’s scope. Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions follow the journal’s author guidelines, including manuscript formatting, citation style, ethical standards, and the proper handling of sensitive or restricted defense-related information.
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to complete all necessary metadata and upload the required documents before submission, including the Title Page and Blinded Manuscript. Submissions that do not meet the journal requirements may be returned for revision prior to review.
