Instructions for Authors

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to the Governance and Fraud Journal must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of the publication process.

1. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Studies

All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should provide significant contributions to the field of governance, auditing, and fraud studies.

2. Manuscript Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and academic English. Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and readability. If necessary, professional language editing services should be used prior to submission.

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  • Title
  • Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review (if applicable)
  • Methodology / Research Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements (optional)
  • References

Each section should be clearly defined to ensure readability and logical flow of the manuscript.

4. Formatting Requirements

Authors must follow these formatting guidelines:

  • Use A4 paper size
  • Font size: 12 pt (Times New Roman recommended)
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margin: standard (2.5 cm on all sides)
  • Manuscript length: approximately 5,000–8,000 words

Tables, figures, and images must be clearly labeled, numbered, and referenced within the text. High-resolution images are required.

5. Citation and References

The journal uses APA Style (latest edition) for citations and references. Authors must ensure:

  • All in-text citations appear in the reference list
  • References are accurate and up-to-date
  • DOI (if available) is included

Reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero are recommended.

6. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to:

  1. Register an account
  2. Log in to the system
  3. Complete all required metadata
  4. Upload the manuscript and supporting files

Incomplete submissions may be returned for revision.

7. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Manuscripts will be evaluated based on:

  • Originality
  • Relevance to the journal scope
  • Methodological rigor
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Contribution to the field

The editorial team reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.

8. Ethical Considerations

Authors must comply with ethical publishing standards. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Duplicate submission/publication

All manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software.

9. Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors may be required to agree to the journal’s copyright and licensing terms. Authors retain responsibility for the content of their work.

If applicable, authors may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). Details regarding fees will be provided during the submission or acceptance process.
